Sunday Sessions (Beach Volleyball)

Announcing Sunday Sessions. This weekly event will involve Sunny afternoon, sunsets, BBQ’s, sweet music, recreational games, and drinks on the beach. This is not like a normal league. You can show up any 10 weeks that suits you over the 20 week season. You can only register as an individual, (and with friends). We will only run this event on sunny and still afternoons so you guys get the best experience, time after time. 

SKILL LEVEL: This league is for all skill levels. Learner, beginner, experienced, or intermediate, we are all here for one reason, and that's to have fun, get fit, and try something different. If you are looking for skilled games against experienced players, this is probably not the right league for you.

OUTDOOR ALL WEATHER PITCHES: This event will only run on sunny afternoons. If the weather is looking bad, we will cancel the event, let everyone know, and schedule for the following week. We will confirm if the event is going ahead by 12noon. We will also not run this event if the beach is too windy. You can check social media for live updates.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION: This season everyone is invited to register as an individual, on the day you will compete with a partner or group of people, depending on who attends the event on the day. The cost is $125 per person for a 10 week season, this will be your only cost.  Individual Player FAQs and Individual Teams Policy.

YOUR DEDICATED STAFF: Your Event Host is Lindsay she is in charge of running the weekly tournaments, and teaching you the rules, Your League Manager is also Lindsay. We will be creating a Facebook group for the Summer so people can find out if the event is running, and confirm their attendance.

WHAT TO BRING:  We provide all the equipment you need. Simply wear your swimmers, or active wear. Don’t forget to bring some drinks, eskies, extra activities, sunscreen, water, umbrellas, and anything else you normally bring for a sunny afternoon at the beach.

GETTING THERE: This hidden inner city court is at the top of the centre, beyond the basketball courts. Look for the Urban Rec flag. Coming via public transport the 443 runs along Harris Street, or a short walk from John Street light rail. Driving? There is easy street parking along Harris Street.
